Dr. Gardiner has been performing research in glaucoma diagnostics for more than twenty years.

In that time, he has published over 100 papers including many focused on structural changes, blood flow, and functional testing in glaucoma. He trained and has extensive expertise in applied biostatistics and experimental design. Has has been funded as Principal Investigator on several NIH grants since 2011.

He is also the lead investigator for the Portland Progression Project, an ongoing longitudinal study in individuals who either have, or are at high risk of developing, glaucoma.
