Christopher Leung is Head and Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Hong Kong, where he also serves as the Director of Glaucoma and Optic Nerve Research Center. He read a MSc in Molecular Medicine at Imperial College London and completed a clinical and research fellowship at the Hamilton Glaucoma Center, UCSD.
His research focuses on glaucoma diagnostics, optical coherence tomography, and neuroprotection. The research and service awards he received include the ARVO Clinician-Scientist Research Award (2010), World Glaucoma Association Science Award (2009 and 2011), APAO Nakajima Award (2010), AAO Achievement Award (2015) and Secretariat Award (2012), and WITSA Global Information and Communications Excellence Award (2019), among others.
