PD Dr. Dr. Bettina studied medicine and molecular medicine at the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) in Germany, received her M.D. at the Department of Ophthalmology, FAU (summa cum laude) in 2011, and her PhD in molecular medicine at the Institute of Anatomy, FAU (magna cum laude) in 2020. She has worked as resident (2012-2018) and consultant (since 2018) at the Department of Ophthalmology, FAU, and habilitated at the Faculty of Medicine, FAU, in 2021.
PD Dr. Dr. Hohberger has been working as ophthalmologist of the Erlangen Glaucoma Registry since 09/2017, as vice speaker of the AG young DOG (Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft) since 09/2019, speaker of the AG young DOG since 09/2022 and as speaker of the AG DOG-glaucoma since 09/2022.
